Welcome to Blueberry Hill Farm. We are a small family run operation dedicated to the promotion of Paint and Quarter Horses. Being small we are able to give all horses on the farm the attention they deserve. Our main passion is fitting, conditioning and showing halter horses, but we also take in a small number of colts to be started under saddle. We are also here to help you with lessons in showmanship, halter showing, or riding.
Blueberry Hill is located in the picturesque farm country of Northeastern Missouri, in the tiny town of Atlanta.
Originally from Massachusetts, we moved to Missouri in the fall of 1999 and purchased our farm in January of that winter.
We have a lifetime of experience with horses, showing, breeding, raising and training.
Beth's show experience started as a youngster showing P.O.A.s. Later it was Paints and Pintos, winning many regional awards as well as top 10 amateur awards, R.O.M.s, R.O.E.s, in classes ranging from Showmanship and Halter to Western Pleasure and Hunter Under Saddle to a World Championship in halter. Most cherished are the PtHA Legion of Merit and Amateur Supreme Championship won with equine partner, Sky Bug Kitten, and most recent accomplishment, PtHA World Championship in Halter with Sparklin Cool II, son of Sky Bug Kitten. Fitting horses for halter is one of her favorite pastimes.
Beth’s daughter Lisa started showing in Leadline at the early age of two and won the Walk-Trot class at the Pinto National Show at age nine. Although she continued to compete in Western classes, English riding is her true love, especially jumping. Lisa too won many regional awards, Top Tens, and R.O.M.s. She worked three years for Olympic medallist, Torrence Watkins, a 3-Day Eventer. There she worked with many young Thoroughbred and Warmblood colts, getting them started both on the flat and over fences.
